A First Awakening - The Beginning of Something Great?

It's done, the website is finally live, a long-cherished dream comes true!

For many years, the idea of implementing such a website had already existed, as early as 2018 the first UI was designed, the first designs were created and discussed with others in what form it would be useful. Unfortunately, there was a lot to be said against it during this time, especially the lack of time. In June of this year, however, the concept was finally started, after it was mature, also with the implementation. And so many hours went into it! I would like to thank all helpers and testers

But what is the German-Furs Network actually?

Well, it is basically supposed to be a place where furry events can be planned and carried out, where participants can be managed, but also offers can be created around the events. The biggest questions outside of events are "How do I get there/back?" and "Where do I stay?". It is precisely these questions that should be clarified, and this is where the community comes into play! Everyone has the opportunity to offer events, carpooling and accommodation.

What is our philosophy?

There is an offer for everyone, it just has to be known! Transparency, security, belonging, are also very important to us, so the code of the site is freely visible, so that everyone gets an insight into what is happening. Personal data is not simply stored anywhere, everyone secures it with a separate password, so that it is only stored in encrypted form. Tired of the whole thing? Personal data or the whole account can simply be deleted again, no one is forced to stay forever.

But we are not finished yet, in the future more features will be added that should make life easier for many. You can also contribute, contact us, either directly via Telegram, a ticket or the contact form. The project lives from feedback, after all, it is also for you! Also, nothing is perfect, mistakes can happen, so we would be grateful for every bug report.

The team is still manageable at the moment. But we are also happy to accept any helping hand. As a moderator, you can manage the individual areas, view tickets and confirm identities, because only accounts of level 2 or higher can create events, carpooling and accommodation offers. A great vote of confidence.

In order not to drag out the article unnecessarily, we wish all visitors a lot of fun exploring! And as the FunFacts say: Become part of the gang!
